Sunday School

Sunday School has returned!

Group of young students

We're S.T.A.R.S.

2023-2024 SS STARS is a Wrap!

 It’s that time…  Memorial Day!!

We closed our out STARS Sunday School Year with a Year End Celebration!

Both our younger group and Sunday School 2.0 joined forces for an activity and a celebration to show that we are not only STARS (So Thankful and Renewed Swiftly) but also connected.

We began talking about the bad choices we make and the bad choices we know others have made, both to us and the actions and behaviors that we have witnessed.

We set up a circle of alternating cups with colored water. We connected them with paper towels that had our names on them.  While we were waiting for the water “to walk” into the empty cups while mixing colors, we completed our cross activity.

With a cross placed on top of a paper, we filled in the four quadrants with all of our brainstormed behaviors that take us away from God.

As the empty cups filled up with new colored water, we removed the cross.  We ended up with a cool paper with all of our ideas outlining the cross.  These two activities closed our STARS year:  We are So Thankful and Renewed Swiftly!  The cross shines through our bad choices/sins and renews us.  We are connected through God’s grace, Jesus’ love, and the Holy Spirit.

We wished Casey love and luck as she heads off to Rowan University.  She knows that she is welcome to work with us when she is home from college.

We thanked Ms. Laurie Maccri and Nana (Sandy Sambucci) for their dedication and presented them with orchids.

See you in September!  Remember all children are always welcome, regardless of membership!
